Flann O’Brien’s on Silom Road will be no more after this Sunday, August 7, reopening in October as a steak house.

The future of the Irish bar that see’s the Bangkok Beatles perform every Friday night has been in doubt for sometime and was expected to close earlier this year but the lights stayed on and the beer kept flowing.

Today management made an official statement on Flann’s future:

Dear Valued Customers,

Thank you for your past patronage and support. We will like to inform you that Flann O’Brien’s Silom will be closed for renovation on 7th of August 2017 and then change to Hunters Steak House on October 2017.

We look forward to your continued support at Flann O’Brien’s IMPACT Muang Thong Thani and Hunters Steak House.

Not that this news wasn’t already doing the rounds as “The Cat” told me on Saturday after speaking to members of the band the previous night who been told this week would be there last.
