Moonshine Pub And Restaurant Reopens

Some more good news for Bangkok bar hounds – the well-established Moonshine Pub & Restaurant is back in business welcoming customers with ice-cold beers and serving up great food too.

Moonshine is located on Sukhumvit Soi 7, having moved at the beginning of the year from Soi 22 where they operated for over 17 years. They are now in their 18th year and the venue is still popular with both expats and regular holidaymakers alike.

Times have been tough during this crisis-period and many places around them have unfortunately had to close, but both Mitch and Wassana, the owners, have remained determined not to let conditions get the better of them.

Mitch said: “For years we have entertained our customers, which we call our family, and enjoyed every moment. When entertainment establishments were ordered to close, we knew we had a tough time ahead and have been able to weather the storm by keeping the kitchen
functioning both for our charity work and to sell takeaway food for locals ordering food directly from us. We are excited to be able to open once more and get to catch up with our family”.

Both Mitch and Wassana were pivotal figures in the charity work via a group named ‘BKK Fights COVID-19’ alongside a group of volunteers that handed out free meals and water every day on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 7. Through the generous donations from friends and family, the group was able to donate over 13,000 meals to people struggling in this time.

So, for anyone that fancies a tasty burger, lasagne, pizza or even Thai food with a nice cold beverage and good vibes, head over to Moonshine which is open daily until midnight.
