The Players Pool Bar located through the tunnel below Asoke BTS on the even-numbered side of Sukhumvit is the latest Bangkok institution to announce they will be closing for good later this month.
A popular place for pool players local and foreign, The Players, will turn off the lights on Aug 20 to make way for yet another high-rise development.
Word is the owner is cashing out and the land will be turned into a condo or hotel.
Booze 21 is located on the same side of Asoke as Terminal 21 opposite the entrance to Soi Cowboy.
It’s an odd little bar sat all alone offering cheap beer and bad music.
Who it is aimed at is anyone’s guess.
