The Londoner Opening June 1… And Selling Booze

Published

The Londoner Opening June 1

So it seems that not only will The Londoner be open on June 1st having been shut since late March but you will also be able to buy booze too.

Technically you have to take the alcohol off-site – which means they can do takeaway booze 100% – but the way things are worded on their updates it sounds like there will be an area set up where you can sit and have a drink.

As you’d expect, it is all very vague but reading between the lines, and looking at their promo posters, they plan to be selling sauce, and I’m not talking HP here.

Social distancing regulations will be in play, so no large groups and face masks are requested of all customers who want to sit 2 to a table and shout across the pub to their mates about the EPL restarting or to ask if they are ordering the buy 1 get 1 free on Londoner Brewed Beers (IPA, Pilsner + Low Carb Pilsner).

UPDATE 1/06/2020 9.55am – 2 hours ahead of the reopening, management at The Londoner announced via Facebook they wouldn’t be selling alcohol after all.

Cheap Drinks At The Red Lion

Cheap Drinks At The Red Lion

The Red Lion, located under the Trendy Building on Sukhumvit Soi 13, is the newest British pub on lower Sukhumvit.

It opened at the weekend with some of the cheapest drink prices I’ve seen in the area.

A pint of Singha or Tiger is only 79 baht with Heineken and Asahi just 89 baht. Guinness will set you back 169 baht for a pint.

Bottled beers start at 65 baht for a Leo with all the other local beers either 70 or 75 baht a pop.

These prices aren’t for Happy Hour or any other promo, instead, they are from open to close 7 days a week.

Food starts on Tuesday with prices for all the popular dishes as competitive as the pricing of the drinks.

There are plenty of TVs for you to catch live sports as you enjoy a cheap bevvy and a bite to eat too.

Starting on 2nd July from 3pm O’Malley’s will be open and welcoming back all of their customers.

They will have a light food menu for reopening along with all of your favourite beers.

beer garden nana plaza

As more and more bars blow off the cobwebs and round up the troops to get back to business the latest on the list in Nana Plaza to switch back on the lights is the Beer Garden in the courtyard.

Having been in the Plaza this week on opening night it really stood out that the Beer Garden wasn’t back up and running yet as it really does bring a lot of atmosphere to the place.

The Nana Beer Garden will bring life to The World’s Largest Adult Playground when the beers will be flowing again from 3pm this afternoon – Friday 3rd July.

Live sports, cold beers and you never know who or what else will be sitting around to keep you entertained between 3pm-midnight each night.
