The Robin Hood Returns
News just in this morning is that from 5pm today The Robin Hood will return for food and drinks which should keep a few readers happy.
The popular Phrom Phong watering hole announced there will be social distancing measures in place for the health and safety of customers and staff.
Just what those measures are I don’t know but hopefully, no silly screens will be involved.
I might see you down there later if you are around as I could murder a pint and a pie.

Goodbye Heidelberg, Hello ???
The Heidelberg on Sukhumvit Soi 4 was once a magnet for German bar hounds looking to eat, drink and sleep right in the thick of the action not to mention a hop, skip and a jump from the three-floor pleasure palace better known as Nana Plaza just down the street.
The bar and restaurant on the ground floor was a place to pass away the daylight hours while the rooms in the hotel above gave them somewhere to sleep off their hangovers after doing the horizontal mambo with their latest rental.
Good times indeed… that was, until a few years back when it started losing its appeal for reasons unknown that saw punters pick other places to stay for their three-week funfest.
And then came Covid.
Word is the Heidelberg won’t return and the bar will reopen with a new European owner and manager – who aren’t German.
Is there a new theme bar in the works? Maybe.
Will it be Irish or English? I honestly don’t know.
What about the hotel? Good question.
What the hell do you know? Lots of unconfirmed rumours that I didn’t chase up because I’m tired of being told half-truths.
You like me will have to wait and see.

Tahitian Queen, The Longest Running Bar In Pattaya, Is Back From The Dead
Following reports last month that The Tahitian Queen, the longest-running bar in Pattaya, had shut up shop for good comes word the bar is back.
In January TQ closed after the owners walked away following months of financial difficulties keeping the business afloat due to the lack of tourism in the city.
A GoFundMe campaign to raise cash to get the bar back up and running was started by one of the founders fathers in late December but it wasn’t enough to stop the bar closing,
On Friday, The Tahitian Queen returned after a month in the dark and lots of speculation online regarding its future.
TQ opened on Beach Road back in 1978 and was always a popular hangout with old hands and long time visitors.
