And Just Like That… Baccara Is Back
Not 20 minutes after the official announcement from the BMA that entertainment venues can reopen from today, Baccara have decided there’s no time like the present and jumping right in and opening back up tonight.
Not only are Baccara back with their 90 baht beers at the outside bar but across the way will see their sister bar Suzie WOng back in business too.
Word is Crazy House will also be getting in on the action but this remains unconfirmed right now.
A lot of bars will either open on Saturday after the dry day on Friday with others following on Monday 1st March.

Major Renovations Underway At Twister BKK
Twister BKK is one of, if not the biggest, go-go bar in Bangkok and it’s currently a shell of its former self with construction crews on the tools transforming it into something very different.
The inside of the massive bar, which must be at least 8 shophouses wide, is currently a shell with the owners stripping it bare to start the new build from scratch.
So what is on those drawings of the new design and layout?
A big boat. And I mean a very BIG boat that will run for almost the entire length of the bar as the stage. It will even have a higher built section for Titanic-like moments.
The outside area has also been stripped back to nothing but I don’t know if there will be any boat-like bar going up.
My question is what will it be called? Will the new management go for Love Boat A-GoGo?
I guess we’ll need to wait and see.

The Scene On Soi Cowboy Last Night
Yes, there’s no denying it is a sad sight to see the Neon Alley looking like this but it will be back soon and the good times can roll again.
With vaccine rollouts around the world picking up momentum and Thailand preparing for mass inoculations, there is light at the end of this Covid tunnel.

Nana Plaza Back In The Day
Lollipop Mermaidium shown in the photo above closed in August 2002 giving us a rough idea of when this snap was taken. as it was only around a few years.
Nana Plaza back in the day was a totally different place from what it is now.
Of course, old hands will always tell you it was much better before but just you ask anyone who has visited recently for the first time what they think and it’s likely they had themselves a ball.
