London Calling Opens In Nana Plaza

Published

on

When you walk inside Nana Plaza you can’t miss the huge neon sign for the renamed Angelwitch II go go bar in the far right hand corner of the ground floor.

The London Calling sign screams out at you much in the same way that ridiculous Nana Main Station sign from last year hit you over the head before slapping your jaw. To big, too bright, too in your face. Subtle it isn’t.

I popped in a couple of weeks back after the new owner took charge when I spotted a familiar face stood outside in a skimpy pair of shorts. And yes, it was the face I spotted. There wasn’t much doing and at the time the new manager was giving away no clues as to what the new name would be or what plans he had up his sleeve for the re-invention of the place. His lips were sealed.

This venue would have been a regular pit stop for me but my coyote girl let me know her agency were on the move again and so it will be a once in a blue moon stop off for me. If you are a regular let me know how things are going as there are so many bars to get round and I’ve no idea when my next scheduled stop off will be.

Crazy Cat On Cowboy Up For Sale

Crazy Cat on Soi Cowboy, or as some might remember it as Cocktail Club from back in the day, has been put up for sale by the owner this week.

Sandwiched between what was Rawhide and Long Gun, the one shophouse bar has a few floors with the go-go on the ground level then pool and rooms on the upper floors.

Sam from Tilac / Sam’s 2000 has owned this for as far back as I can remember and longer. Why has she decided to sell now?

I’ve no idea but Sam is the lady any interested parties should get in touch with to talk details and dollars.
