RIP London Calling
My prediction yesterday on social media that Friday night would be the last for London Calling turned out to be wrong with old Stick out by one day as the bar didn’t open at all last night.
In the six years since it opened, it has never been a bar I enjoyed or went to often due to the line-up being a mix or real women and ladyboys. In fact, I don’t think I have had a drink in it since my annual visit in 2016.
Some of the mamasans and dancers had already found new homes inside The World’s Largest Adult Playground with the remainder set to take up new positions in another Nana Plaza chrome pole palace tonight, Saturday.
As is always the case when a bar suddenly shuts down, rumours are rife, gossip abundant of which I will play no part in as I don’t honestly know what happened or what went down between the owner and staff.
All I know is it’ RIP London Calling.

Saturday Night On Walking Street
See first hand what Walking Street looked like last night with this Japanese vlogger.
After watching you will soon realise it is not “business as usual” as many of the forum and Facebook fools would make out. These people are simply deluded.

Nana Plaza Closed Until April 19
Nana Plaza, The World’s Largest Adult Playground, will be closed from today (April 6) until April 19 on the orders of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
The closure announced on Monday night comes after a meeting of the Communicable Disease Committee following the cluster of Covid infections from various nightspots in Thonglor and Ekkamai.
It was decided by officials that 196 entertainment venues in 3 districts – Khlong Toei, Wattana, and Bang Khae – were to be closed down temporarily as they are deemed high risk in a bid to prevent further infections.
The shutdown of the Plaza includes the beer bars out front on Soi 4 too.
This third closure couldn’t have come at a worse time as only last week visitor numbers to Nana Plaza were the highest since before the Covid situation started in Match 2020.

Lee Shamrock Live At Whiskey & GoGo
Every Sunday, the talented Lee Shamrock performs live at Whiskey & GoGo on the middle floor of Nana Plaza.
Whiskey & Gogo is a little different to your regular chrome pole palace offering a loungy atmosphere with 10-15 friendly gorgeous gogo dancers.
As for Lee? We all know he is a one-man-band who puts on a good show, even in a go-go bar.
If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this is it, so why stop pop in and help Sasha and his team break the tradition of DJ only go-go’s.
The 99 baht local beers might help persuade you or the collection of rare whiskey’s if that’s your tipple.
