It looks like Bon Jovi are using Thailand to fill a hole in their tour calendar with the surprise announcement of a show this coming Tuesday night at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.
The band was set to take the stage next Monday in Beijing, followed by an appearance in Shanghai later in the week but authorities pulled the plug on both gigs. AEG Live Asia said on Tuesday the dates were canceled for ‘unforeseen reasons’.
Rock fans in Thailand won’t be giving a toss what the reasons for the surprise gig are because they will get to see one of the best selling acts of the past 30 years in the flesh.
Jon Bon Jovi left a message for Thai fans on the official website: “We’ve toured around the world since 1995 and are excited to reunite with our fans in Thailand again! See you Tuesday, Sept. 15”.
Tickets are priced 2,000 / 2,500 / 3,500 / 4,000 / 5,000 / 6,000 baht and go on sale from the usual outlets at 10am on Saturday 10th September.
Lets hope the ticket sale doesn’t turn into another farce like the Maroon 5 carry on.
