200 Baht Fine For Asoke Jaywalkers From Sept 1st

Published on 29th August 2014 by Stickboy BKK

From September 1st, Asoke intersection will have cops and city officials manning the area on the look out for jaywalkers and anyone crossing when the traffic is on green.

Pedestrians not using the zebra crossings as intended will be handed a 200 baht fine, according to a report on Voice TV.

Anyone trying to dodge traffic on the Asoke intersection deserves a 200 baht for stupidity when there’s the MRT underpass or overhead walkway to the BTS if time is so tight you can’t wait on the green man.
