Eight British tourists were injured, three seriously, when the minivan they were travelling in to Pattaya suffered a blowout and crashed.
Local media report the accident happened on the Bangkok-Chonbvuri motorway on Tuesday morning around 10.30am.
The 53-year-old van driver told police he picked up the eight passengers at Suvarnabhumi airport and was heading to Pattaya when the back tyre on his minivan blewout sending the vehicle crashing into the central reservation.
Rescue volunteers administered first aid at the scene before transporting the three passengers with serious injuries to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.
Police said they are investigating the cause of the crash.
