African With Fake PassportArrested Phuket Airport

An African man was arrested and charged on Friday night after he attempted to enter Thailand via Phuket International Airport using a fake Kenyan passport and carrying a quantity of prescription drugs.

He initially had his passport stamped after passing through immigration, however, the officer had second thoughts about the passport and alerted airport security who found and detained the unknown man before he left the building.

During questioning, airport police and immigration officers searched the mans bags in a bid to identify him after it was discovered the passport he was using was a forgery.

A search of his luggage uncovered 380 packs of Dexamethasone (steroids) and 85 10-pill packs of Super Apeti (weight-gain) drugs, amounts deemed by police to be more than one would need for personal use in a 30-day period.

At this point the man was transferred to Tachadchai Police Station where he was charged with importing the pharmaceuticals and entering the Kingdom using a false passport.
