Operators of the Airport Rail Link have proposed introducing a 20 baht flat fare during off-peak hours to increase ridership numbers.
Suthep Panpeng, deputy director-general of SRT Electric Train Co, the ARL operator told reporters on Friday that under the proposal, off-peak fares would be reduced from 15-45 baht to 15-20 baht.
Passengers travelling only one station would pay 15 baht, with a flat price of 20 baht for all longer trips.
The off-peak periods run from 5.30am-7am, 10am-5pm and 8pm to midnight.
It wasn’t reported when the proposal would be rubber-stamped or introduced.
