The burial site was discovered after investigators found the gang had rented a pickup with GPS installed which revealed the vehicle had been parked at the location of the grave for two hours at 7am on the morning of the abduction.

Pol Maj Gen Amporn declined to name the person who rented the white pickup saying only the manhunt for those responsible has been stepped up and he believed they were still in the country in hiding.

An arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday for Antonio Bagnato, a 26-year-old Australian believed to be the dead mans business partner, on charges of conspiring to assault and detain Schneider.
