Austrian Parachutist Stuck On Mountain Edge

Australian Parachutist Stuck On Mountain

Rescue workers were in a race against time on Monday afternoon to save an Austrian parachutist stuck on a cliff in Phatthalung province.

Johannes Grasser, 28, leapt from the peak of Khao Ok Thalu, a mountain in southern Thailand, with his girlfriend this morning.

But his parachute snagged on the sharp cliff edge and he was left dangling precariously 820ft from the ground – with one slip meaning he will plunge to his death.

The Austrian was making the jump for a second time today having already safely taken the plunge on Saturday as part of a National Children’s Day event.
