Brit Throws Thai Wife Off 8th Floor Balcony

A British man was lucky not to be facing a murder charge after throwing his wife off an 8th-floor balcony at a condo in Rayong earlier this week.

Emergency services were called by concerned neighbours at around 2.30pm on Tuesday afternoon after hearing a woman scream in pain as she lay on the roof of a neighbouring building in Ban Chang District.

Rescue volunteers found Sukanda, 56, laid in pain having suffered a fractured hip and dislocated arm in the fall.

She was lucky to be alive after she landed on a rooftop only two floors below the balcony her husband had thrown her over.

Local police were joined at the scene by Rayong Immigration Police, together with officers from the Crime Suppression Division who tried to speak with 47-year-old Dave Marshall who was sat topless on his balcony praying.

He ignored everyone for around two hours before finally opening the door to his condo to speak with the building manager and immigration police.

Marshall said he was stressed and the argument with his wife had become heated.

Local media report police are waiting to take a statement from the Brit’s wife who is recovering in hospital before making a decision on pressing any charges.
