Canadian Killed In Pattaya Bike Crash

A 51-year-old Canadian expat was killed in a road accident in the early hours of Friday, according to Pattaya police.

The accident occurred at around 3am outside Foodland on Pattaya Klang Road where two bikes collided leaving the Canadian dead and the other Thai biker seriously injured.

Eyewitnesses told police the Thai man was speeding and doing wheelies on his bike when he lost control and ran head-on into the Canadian man, sending him flying down the street.

Rescue volunteers carried out CPR on the expat before rushing him to Pattaya City Hospital where he was pronounced dead soon after.

The Thai rider is being treated in Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Police say they will question him once he is in a stable condition and check CCTV footage from the area to establish the cause of the crash.
