Chiang Mai Woman Ticketed For Not Wearing Helmet In Car

It’s only Nov. 15, but traffic cops in Chiang Mai must be behind on their quotas.

One of the boys in brown, whose tight uniform apparently was constricting blood flow to the head, ticketed a Thai woman for driving a motorcycle without a helmet … even though she was behind the wheel of a car.

The ticket correctly stated licence plate number of the Honda compact, but explicitly stated she was fined for being on a motorbike without a helmet.

Maybe the cop just wanted her number. In any case, she plans to question the absurd citation.

Of course, it’s not the first time the cops have been caught asleep at the wheel. Last month one smart Somchai wrote a ticket for a car illegally changing lanes.

Only problem? At the time the car was being towed.
