Construction Work Halted For 3 Days In Bangkok In A Bid To Lower Pollution Levels4

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ordered a halt to construction work in Bangkok for 3 days in a bid to tackle the poor air quality in the capital.

The move comes after PM2.5 levels rising to unhealthy levels in most parts of Bangkok for several days with high-rise contractors told to down tools to help ease the problem.

Nine electric train projects across the city were also ordered to stop construction until Thursday.

Bangkok governor Asawin Kwanmuang said water spraying trucks would be back on the streets this week too with high-rise building owners encourage to assist by spraying water from their rooftops.
