Czech Fraudster Wanted by Interpol Arrested On Koh Samui

A Czech national wanted in his homeland on fraud charges was arrested on Friday as he arrived by boat to Koh Samui.

Radek Juricek, 42, had been hiding out in Thailand since 2014 after fleeing the Czech Republic where he is wanted in connection with a €1.5 million fraud case.

Surat Thani immigration police were alerted by Interpol and the embassy Juricek was on the run and in Thailand.

Local police were alerted Friday that the fraud suspect was on the move and heading to Koh Samui.

He was arrested at Lipa Noi around 7.30pm Friday by officers station at the pier.

Juricek was sent to the Immigration Bureau before being handed over to Interpol who will escort him back to his homeland to face charges.
