Somchai Suffers A Heart Attack

A Thai man died after suffering a heart attack while having a neck rub and drinking beer at a Samut Prakan massage shop on Sunday.

Somchai Khansali, 47, had been drinking for several hours in front of the Phovej Thai traditional massage shop before popping in for a rub down.

The masseuse Supawadee Meemasung told police she asked him to remove his top so she could begin tending to his neck, adding Somachai insisted on finishing his beer while she got to work.

However, halfway through the session, Somchai suffered a seizure and started foaming at the mouth before falling off the bed on to the floor where he passed out.

Medics were soon on the scene and performed CPR but it was too late.

The masseur said that she did not do anything unusual to the dead customer besides letting him drink beer during the massage.

Naret Leecharoen, an inspector from Bangkaew Police Station, said that the body would be sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
