Drug Dealer Shot By Cops

A known drug dealer was shot and wounded by Bangkok cops on Sunday morning after he attempted to flee a salon where he’d held several people hostage.

The drama started at around 10.30am yesterday morning when the 31-year-old man held several woman and men hostage in a salon claiming he’d been double-crossed in a drug deal.

Cops soon arrived at the scene on Rama 6 Soi 15 in Pathumwan district and attempted to talk the man out of the shop.

He wasn’t for handing himself in or going quietly as he emerged armed with a pistol and fired a few rounds at officers surrounding the shop and street.

The boys in brown were on their A game and took him out with three shots – none fatal. The dealer was then bundled into the back of a police pickup and rushed to a nearby hospital.

He has since been charged with attempted murder, hostage taking, resisting arrest and a handful of other charges that will see him looking at a lengthy stretch behind bars. Something Thai media report is the norm as he has a lengthy rap sheet.
