Drunk Driver Kills Omani Motorcyclist In Nakhon Phanom

An Omani man joined the legions of people killed on motorbikes in Thailand when he was struck by a drunk driver in Nakhon Phanom.

Aree Abdullah, 62, died at the scene of the Tuesday night wreck in Muang District. His wife, Chamaiporn Yodmai, 39, was driving the motorbike and was hospitalized.

Car driver Thanes Srirom, 27, was found to be more than four times over the legal limit for alcohol at 220mg/dL. He also was believed to be speeding.

The Omani was killed as he and his wife were headed out to dinner after he had just returned home from time away.
