Drunk Russians Bottle Random Indians In Pattaya
A Russian couple is facing assault and other charges after attacking a group of Indian tourists, apparently for no reason.
To no one’s surprise, the Russians were drunk and disorderly Saturday night, refusing to co-operate with police and spitting at reporters. Thrown in the slammer at the Pattaya Police Station, they then started fighting with other inmates and had to be isolated.
The cops got on the blower to the Russian embassy to have them send a sober comrade to sort the mess out this morning.
The fracas started when the small group of Indians were haggling with a baht bus driver outside the Tops supermarket at Central and Second roads around 11:30 p.m. when the drunkie Ruskides staggered up from the beach, the woman carrying a half-drained Chang bottle.
According to bystanders and motorcycle-taxi drivers, Natasha then began shouting “Russia! Russia! Russia!” and started hitting the Indians with the bottle, smashing it, with Boris joining in with his fists.
Remarkably, none of the Indians was hurt enough to require medical attention, although they were justifiably shaken up.
Motorcycle guys and nearby traffic police jumped in and broke up the melee, with Boris and Natasha stumbled different directions, but were quickly detained by Rocky and Bullwinkle-chai.
