Elderly Brit Killed In Motorbike Accident

A 71-year-old British man was killed after colliding with a car on his motorbike as he attempted to make a u-turn in Sa Kaeo province on Monday.

When emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident on Route 317, they found the body of David Conklin laid on the road with severe injuries.

The Honda motorbike he’d been riding was some distance away from his body and a wrecked Toyota Vios was smashed against a road sign.

Rescue volunteers from the Sawang Sa Kaeo Foundation performed CPR on the victim but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Witnesses told police the car clipped the motorbike as it was making a u-turn, sending the Brit down the road and the car into the signage.

Mr Conklin is survived by his Thai wife of 15 years and a 14-year-old son.
