Elderly Kiwi Expat Found Dead In Chiang Mai

A 79-year-old man from New Zealand was found dead in his Chiang Mai condo on Sunday night, according to police.

Concern for the well-being of Warwick Ernest Purser, who had been residing at the Galare Thong Condominium for the past six years, led the owner to check on his room with a spare key having not seen the retiree in a week.

Police and medics were called to the 12th-floor room on Chang Klan Road after the owner found Mr Purser laid in a pool of blood on the floor.

A doctor couldn’t determine the cause of death at the scene and the body was transferred to Chiang Mai Hospital where an autopsy will be carried out.
