Farrang Cheech & Chong See Pot Biz Go Up In Smoke
A British Cheech and Canadian Chong saw their pot business go up in smoke when police raided a Samut Prakan warehouse where they allegedly were producing cannabis oil for export to Europe.
Brit Joseph Toole, 64, and Canuck David Kulik, 67, were both captured Thursday in Chonburi after Narcotics Suppression Division officers stormed their warehouse in Bang Phli.
The cops alleged that the two senior stoners have been producing cannabis oil there for more than a year. They made a deal with Laotian drug gangs to smuggle them large amounts of grass which they cooked down into oil they then shipped off to Belgium and other European destinations.
Police seized 70 kilogrammes of oil and 6.6 kg. of cannabis resin in Thursday’s raid.
Kluik allegedly financed the drug ring while Toole, a former doctor, cooked up the magic recipe. A Japanese national, meanwhile, is said to be the mastermind behind the entire operation and remains on the run.
