Police are looking for a ladyboy who visited a Filipino school teacher who was found hanged at his room in Nonthaburi on Wednesday afternoon.

The body of 26-year-old Melvin C was discovered at around 3.30pm by the unidentified ladyboy who fled after informing security that the school teacher was dead.

Police and rescue volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation Found Mr Melvin hanged by an electrical cord an air-conditioning unit on the fourth-floor balcony of an apartment building in the Suan Yai area.

A lengthy handwritten letter in English and other documents were found in the room.

The manager of the apartment block told officers a ladyboy arrived earlier asking about Melvin who went up to his room after being told he’d not been seen.

The ladyboy returned shortly after saying Melvin was dead and fled the scene.

Police said they are looking at CCTV footage in a bid to identify the ladyboy and are having the handwritten letter examined to determine it’s authenticity.

The body was taken for an autopsy and the investigation continues.
