Finnish Tourist Seriously Injured After Pattaya Balcony Plunge

A 33-year-old Finnish man was left seriously injured after he fell from a fourth floor balcony at a Pattaya hotel on Wednesday afternoon.

The man, identified as Mr Hautamaki Mikko Veu Samuel, was found laid in a narrow alley beside the hotel located on Soi Honey by a member of staff who works at the beer bar located on the ground floor of the hotel.

Local media report the tourist suffered injuries to his head, several broken bones and multiple cuts and bruises. EMTs rushed him to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment after patching him up at the scene.

Staff told police Mr Samuel had only checked in earlier that day and all seemed normal until mid-afternoon when she heard an almighty thud before discovering him laid in the alley.

Police said they’d question the Finn when he had recovered to ascertain how he came to fall.
