Fire Breaks Out At Siam Square One

Shoppers fled from Siam Square One in downtown Bangkok on Monday night after a fire broke out at a Korean BBQ restaurant.

Thick smoke was seen pouring from the building just after 7pm as those inside rushed from the building.

Fire crews arrived at the scene and brought the blaze under control. They said the fire had started at the Hongdae Korean Charcoal BBQ Buffet on the fifth floor of the building.

Police Colonel Krishna Pattanacharoen said the emergency services received a call at 7.20pm local time.

“Fire crews were able to control the fire and there were no deaths or injuries in any way. From the initial examination, we can see that the fire started inside the restaurant and we will now investigate to find the cause”.
