The Five Busiest Roads In Bangkok

Published on 14th November 2014 by Stickboy BKK

The Transport Ministry has revealed the five busiest roads in Bangkok, saying the average traffic flow speed is a mere 24.34 kim an hour.

And the reasons for the traffic jams? Queues of vehicles blocking an entire network of intersecting roads, construction of MRT and BTS projects, railway crossings, and toll gates of the expressway system.

Not one mention of illegal parking, idiots driving down the wrong side of the street, taxis blocking lanes touting for business, street vendors blocking the inside lane with their carts and crap… need I go on?

The five busiest roads are;

1. Ngamwongwan Rd from Kaelai to Kaset.
2. Sri Ayutthaya Rd from Makkasan to Sisao Theves.
3. Sukhumvit Rd from Bang Na to Ploenchit.
4. Phaholyothin Rd from Laksi to Lardprao.
5. Ratchadapisek Rd from Ratchavibha to Rama 9.
