The body of a man believed to be a foreigner was found dead in the grounds of the Buriram College of Agriculture and Technology on Tuesday, according to reports.
Pol Capt Chalermphol Kaewnate, deputy investigation chief, told reporters the grim discovery was made by students who found the body covered with a blanket behind a metal noticeboard in an abandoned building on the campus.
The unidentified man is said to be caucasian in his mid-40s and well built.
Investigators believe the man took his own life as he was found with a plastic bag tightly fastened around his head that was connected to a gas cylinder by a rubber pipe.
It is believed he’d been dead between 2-3 days.
His body was sent to a forensic institute for post-mortem examination and police and seeking to establish his identity.
