Foreigners Among The Dead In Fatal Visa Run Minivan Smash

At least two foreigners were killed this morning in Phang Nga province when a minivan on a visa run from Phuket lost control and smashed into a house leaving three passengers dead and injuring eight others.

The accident happened at around 6.30am with initial reports stating the van lost control on a bend and ploughed into a house.

Police said two Russian nationals are among the dead.

Further information from Phang Nga police states the third fatality was an “Asian” woman with Thais and an Indonesian national among those rushed to hospital, some with serious injuries having been trapped in the wreckage.

The minivan, operated by KBV Visa Run, was bound for the Malaysian border in Satun province. The 33-year-old driver told police he lost control on a bend due to the rain.
