The operators of a fairground ride are facing charges after six people were thrown from a ride in Lopburi at the weekend when staff forgot to lock a safety bar.
The “Crazy Wave” ride was part of the entertainment at the Winter Fair organised by Pibulwitthayalai School and was being run by a friend of the owner at the time of the accident.
Thai media report the man failed to lock a safety bar that holds passengers in their seats during operation.
Six people were flung out the ride shortly after it started with four injured, including a 13-year-old girl who broke her left leg.
A police investigation into the incident is underway with the owner and operator both facing charges of negligence.
