Villagers Complain About Cable Chaos

Villagers in Phetchabun have taken to the internet to complain about cables on their property, laid across roads, blocking entrances and being a danger to everyone living there.

The Provincial Electrical Authority subcontracted the cable installation to a private company who started work laying around 500 meters of cable last November.

Despite repeated complaints by the residents of Pong Kham Fak village to the power company, nothing has been done for six months forcing them to turn to Facebook in a bid to catch the attention of someone with the power to put things right.

The village headman said he was concerned about the cables and was worried a resident would be hurt if something wasn’t done about them.
