Thirty angry go-go dancers marched to Pattaya police station on Monday to file a complaint against their boss after not been paid two weeks.

The troop of dancers from Hidden A Go Go bar on Walking Street were furious their boss disappeared owing around 400,000 baht in unpaid salaries.

The makeshift union, led by 29-year-old Nong Gift, told police they had been working since October 14 without their agreed pay of 1,200 baht per night.

She said: “We have been working since October 14 without pay. We have a 10-day rolling contract and receive 1,200 baht a night.

“However, on October 24, which was the date that we should receive the money, the foreign owner postponed it and said that he will pay us on October 28. Then today we could not contact him.

“We need the police to help us because we have nowhere else to go and we also desperately need our money as most of us have families to support.

“We will contact every authority we can until we receive the money that belongs to us.”

Police Major Thanin Kanpai filed a report and suggested the dancers report the case to the provincial Department of Labour.
