Immigration Bounces Czech For 6-Year Overstay

A Czech man who loved Koh Tao so much he literally never left has been discovered by immigration authorities, who found he overstayed his visa by 2,266 days.

Josef Ruzicka, 47, doesn’t fit the description of the usual twatpacker, but there he was shacked up with a Thai woman in a Sai Review Resort hotel room when immigration police came a-knocking Monday.

Authorities recorded his entry into Thailand in 2012 but Ruzicka never left the kingdom after that, not for a visa run, trip home or holiday. Because, you know, Koh Tao is so wonderful.

Ruzicka’s discovery was no accident. He obviously pissed someone off because someone dropped a dime on him so immigration would bounce the Czech.

He won’t be bouncing back any time soon. Ruzicka is being processed for deportation and a 10-year ban from Thailand, but not before he donates 20,000 baht to Big Joke’s Immigration Party Fund.
