Indian Bar Council Selling Votes For Bobs And Vagene In Pattaya

Candidates standing in an Indian Bar Council election are under investigation for allegedly offering lawyers bribes including Bobs and Vagene during a planned trip to Pattaya in return for their “support”.

According to The Hindu, the Madras High Court have ordered the Income Tax department to form special squads to keep checks on the alleged distribution of monies to lawyers during the elections to the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry set to take place in late March.

A report sent to Bar Council of India in January stated that the going rate for a single vote in the BCTNP elections was 30,000 rupees.

It also alleged candidates had been organising holidays in Pattaya for voters where they’d be throwing parties.

Nothing like swaying the voters with some Bobs and Vagene – how could they say no?
