Interpol Red Notice For Red Bull Heir

Interpol today posted its red notice for Vorayuth Yoovidhya on their public database a month after it was officially issued.

The Interpol Red Notice has been accessible to all 190 member countries since it was issued in August, making international travel difficult for the rich fugitive.

Vorayuth left Thailand in April for Singapore just days before authorities issued a warrant for his arrest. He then flew to Taiwan but his whereabouts since May are unknown.

The heir to part of the Red Bull fortune is wanted in connection with a 2012 hit-and-run that killed a police officer in Bangkok.

The officer, 47-year-old Sgt Maj Wichean Glanprasert, suffered a broken neck and multiple broken bones after being hit riding his motorbike by a Ferrari allegedly driven by Vorayuth who didn’t stop dragging the body several meters along the road before fleeing the scene on the morning of September 3rd, 2012.

Vorayuth originally faced three charges, however, only reckless driving causing death remains because he’s avoided police and prosecutors for so long with a lengthy list of excuses all the while he has been jet-setting around the globe.

The statute of limitations for reckless driving causing death is 10 years.
