Italian Busted For Bullets Ganja On Koh Lipe

Bullets and bongs might make for a time in the American South, but in Thailand’s South they got an Italian man arrested.

Immigration and Koh Lipe police slapped the cuffs on Allessandro Medri, 43, after being tipped off he was getting into the Bob Marley spirt at the Moo Ban Chao Lay Reggae Bar.

In his man-bag officers found 144.5 grams of marijuana.

They took him back to his Daya Estate residence and found Medri was serious about his smoke, keeping an additional 210.7 g. of grass in a climate-controlled fridge.

Searching his place, officers also unearthed 14 bullets, but no guns.

Police said Medri admitted to buying the ganga from a Thai dealer for personal use and said a friend gave him the bullets three years ago.
He has been charged with possession of a Class 5 narcotic and illegal possession of ammunition.
