Kiwi Pensioner Goes Out With A Bang

A 68-year-old Kiwi man took a suspected heart attack and died as he was doing the horizontal mambo at the home of a Phuket bar owner in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The woman told police she had asked the pensioner, named as John Abraham, to spend the night with her after the pair had spent the evening drinking together at her Patong bar, however, 15 minutes into their session the New Zealander fell unconscious.

She called for an ambulance and performed CPR on him until volunteers from the rescue foundation arrived. Despite their best efforts to revive Mr Abraham, it was too late and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lt Col Weerapong Rakhito of Patong Police told reporters they didn’t suspect foul play and believed the pensioner had taken a heart attack as he was fitted with a pacemaker.

His body was sent for autopsy and the New Zealand embassy informed.
