Korean Caught Illegally Feeding Fish Off Phuket

A Korean man, believed to be an illegal tour guide, was in hot water after he was caught on camera illegally feeding fish off Phuket.

Kanchit Klingklip aka Seaman Freeman, a Thai tour guide and conservationist, spotted the Korean up to no good in Batok Bay and filmed him under water feeding fish with breadcrumbs to entertain two tourist accompanying him.

After gathering enough evidence he then approached and apprehended him which is where the smartphone footage below pick up the story.

In the clip the Korean can be heard saying he is sorry but Kanchit isn’t interested in his apology, “Don’t say sorry. Everyone told you already. No feeding here. The Thai people, they are also not feeding”.

He told reporters a complaint was filed at the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Region and that he expected officials to later charge him at Chalong Police Station.

If found guilty, the Korean is looking at a one year jail term and/or a maximum fine of 100,000 baht.
