Lucky Escape For Truck Driver After Temporary Bridge Collapses

The driver of a truck carrying a load of rocks had a lucky escape after a temporary bridge he was crossing collapsed sending him and his wagon into a creek in Mukdahan.

The incident happened on Tuesday with Thai media reporting locals rescued the driver who was tossed free for the truck as the temporary “Bailey Bridge” caved under the weight of his vehicle.

A limit of 12 tons was in place which the lorry driver carrying a haul of rocks for riverbank repairs ignored.

He was arrested and charged with negligence.
