Fire crews battled a blaze onboard a luxury superyacht which caught fire moored at a harbour on Phuket this morning.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the vessel named Lady D at around 8am today at the Ao Po Grand Marina.
Panicked crew members initially tried to fight the fire themselves but fled to safety when the blaze started to spread rapidly through the body of the boat.
Firefighters, rescue workers and marine police spent an hour trying to bring the blaze under control. The fire was initially subdued but flared up again.
The vessel was then pulled out of the marina to avoid damage to any other boats moored there.
No injuries were reported.
