Martial Law Hasn’t Reached The Naughty Nightlife Areas … Yet

After the army declared martial law on Tuesday morning, you’d think things might be a little different around the nightlife areas where the naughty boys like to hangout but the truth is, life goes on as normal and nothing has changed.

Below are two photos taken at the entrances of Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy the first night the army took over policing the country.

Nana Plaza was looking typical for a Tuesday night… (note only one bike)

Compared to Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy looked pretty lifeless looking in from Soi 23. That could be normal for a Tuesday night. I couldn’t say with any authority as it’s not a place I hang out much.

After taking a quick look at Soi Cowboy I headed down to Soi 22 which was full of hustle and bustle. Queens Park Plaza was open and doing business. Mind you most of the bars were either quiet or empty which seems pretty normal midweek. Look at that poor girl sat dreaming a customer will pull up a chair and buy her a drink…

I didn’t make it over to Patpong but all reports said it was just a normal night.

So as far as the naughty nightlife in Bangkok goes regarding martial law… it’s business as usual. But like a broken record I will say the same as I always do. Things could change in the blink of an eye. Things may be fine right now but there is no guarantee that will be the case in an hour, a day, a week, a month…
