Mass Exodus On Ko Phangan Following Cancellation Of FMP

Thousands of partygoers are leaving Ko Phangan en masse today after the Full Moon Party was cancelled in accordance with guidelines on entertainment during this time of mourning.

The mass exodus began late Monday morning with lengthy queues of backpackers lining up at the jetty to leave the island.

October’s Full Moon Party was called off on Friday by organisers.

Over the weekend other meetings were held to discus the situation with partygoers were hoping for a u-turn in the decision to cancel the event.

As expected, the decision wasn’t overturned and now revelers have changed their plans to seek out adventures elsewhere.
