McDonalds Thailand Website Hacked

The McDonalds Thailand website, mcthai.co.th, was hacked this morning with visitors being greeted by a large image displaying HackeD bY Whoami instead of glossy pictures of McMuffins and Big Macs.

Got Hacked bY Whoami I’m Hacked’it. Sorry Admin Nothing Security Perfect Here

The message was live on the site for around 45 minutes before mcthai.co.th was taken offline and returning a 404 Not Found message. Big Macs and meal deals were back just after midday when the site was restored.

I’ve no idea if any user data was compromised in the attack but it seems unlikely and the hackers were just publicly embarrassing the multi-nationals lack of site security.
