Northeast Thailand Battered By Storms

Severe weather in Nakhon Phanom province on Tuesday afternoon left thousands without power and damage to hundred of homes and vehicles.

Photos of the storm damage were shared online after a 20-minute hail storm battered the northeastern province that toppled trees and power poles.

Dozens of cars and motorcycles were also damaged during the storm and two high voltage power lines were severed, cutting off electricity to 7 areas.

Much of the province was left without power well into the night as workers had to cut it to allow for repairs.

Nakhon Ratchasima and Mahasarakam province were also badly hit by severe storms with urgent repair work needed to hundreds of homes.
