The Thai Nurse Association have again called on police to put a stop to a bar holding a sexy nurses party, saying promotional posters with scantily clad women dressed in white outfits with red crosses is demeaning to their profession.

The posters for the party were shared on Facebook showing “naughty nurses” with syringes stood alongside an ambulance and once again, the mention of the Computer Crimes Act had the bar owners running for cover, deleting the social media updates and cancelling the event after cops from Wang Thonglang police station came knocking.

The director of the Thai Nurse Association said deleting the images and cancelling the party didn’t go far enough and demanded an apology and assurances police would put an end to such activities that harmed the image of the nursing profession.

Earlier this year the owners of a Bangkok bar were summoned by police following a complaint from the same association and were threatened with charges under the CCA for sharing posters for their nurses night online.

At the time Royal Thai Police spokesman Pol. Lt. Gen. Prawut Thawornsiri said, “Although the establishment has already canceled the event and deleted the advertisement, it is still liable for prosecution by the Computer Crime Act.”

The owners and management from the bar have since aplogised formally stating they did not intend to offend nurses or anyone else and they copied the format as it was popular abroad. They added no further parties of this sort would be held in the future.
