Pattaya Bar Facing Closure Following Dawn Raid

A Pattaya bar with a history of flouting the law was raided by fifty cops early on Saturday morning following complaints from local residents it was holding all-night parties.

The dawn raid on the recently opened Black Pearl Pub, located at the Bali Hai Port area of the city, found a student party in full swing with around 200 partygoes in the bar.

Officers found underage customers, evidence of drug use and of course, open way beyond its legal operating hours.

Seven customers were discovered to be under the legal age of 20 with a further thirty-two failing drug tests.

Police also found two bags on the floor of the bar containing Ketamine powder that had been discarded by a dealer when cops arrived.

The manager of the Black Pearl Pub, Mr Akom, 48, was arrested and charged with various offenses.

The bar now faces a 5-year closure order, which will be it’s second in as many months as it had relocated following a five year ban at its previous location for similar problems
